Trafficking, slavery and exploitation has evolved since the implementation of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to include and cover so much more than just forced labour, domestic servitude or sexual exploitation. This course helps delegates understand the history of slavery, trafficking and exploitation, how to recognise the signs of exploitation and safeguard those through working with key partners, statutory and NGO's. The course is delivered Jordan who worked as the Director of Safeguarding and Strategic Development for one of the largest providers of the national referral mechanism itself.

It further brings learning techniques to assist delegates how to recognise their own bias and prevent it from becoming a barrier both in the workplace and with the people we seek to support/help.
The course is facilitated by Jordan who has spent several years surviving domestic abuse, while not seeing it himself as actually being abuse until it was too late. Finally escaping a highly toxic relationship only to find little or no support owing to him identifying as a man, being told by police to just 'man up and deal with it' he decided to develop a course based on his own experiences so as to help others be able recognise this abuse, and act.
Jordan worked in domestic abuse support for several years and represented MARAC for 3 years and understands more than most the benefit of working in partnership to safeguard others from an ever increasingly reported form of abuse.
